Material on this site may be used for your own personal non-commercial use.  However, use of any material from this website for any commercial purpose is expressly prohibited.  To use material from this site you must first seek permission from the copyright owner (AIMA).

You must not link to this site from a site or in a manner which disparages the reputation of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association, its suppliers or advertisers.

Donations

General terms

AIMA is a registered health promotion charity under item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Australian Income Tax Assessment Act, 1997.  All donations over $2 made to AIMA are tax-deductible in Australia. Ongoing monthly donations are tax deductible monthly receipts will be sent upon payment.

Disputes and refunds
At AIMA we take all complaints, grievances and disputes seriously and will undertake to resolve them in a timely manner, having due regard to procedural fairness, confidentiality and organisational capacity.  All parties are required to participate in the dispute resolution process in good faith. If you believe that there has been an error with your donation, you should notify us directly by email at [email protected] – marking your email as ‘Urgent – Donation Dispute’.  Any issues should be directed to the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association in the first instance so that we can attempt to resolve the matter.

Monthly donations

Your obligations
It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient clear funds available in your nominated account. You should check your account statement to verify that the amounts debited from your account are correct.

Changes and cancellations
We may vary details of your agreement at any time by giving you at least 14 days written notice.

If you wish to cancel, defer or alter a debit payment you must notify us by emailing [email protected] at least 14 days before the next donation day.  Please provide details of your donation agreement, such as name, address, etc. for ease of processing.

AIMA membership

AIMA offers different levels of membership as outlined in our constitution.  Costs associated with membership are determined by the AIMA Board, these are subject to change at the discretion of the Board.  Members will be informed of any changes in a timely manner.  Payment for membership is made via our website and can be paid for by Mastercard or Visa.

It is the member’s (or proposed member’s) responsibility to ensure:

  • the account details provided are correct, and
  • sufficient clear funds are available in the nominated account.

If your payment is returned or dishonoured for whatever reason, we will attempt to process payment again. If the payment is returned or dishonoured again you will receive notification requesting immediate payment. Your membership will not be confirmed until payment is processed. You are responsible for any resulting fees levied by your financial institution.

Monthly membership payments and Automatic renewals

The term of AIMA membership is for one year which is made in 12 monthly payments.  Your membership fee will be deducted from your nominated credit card each month on the date which you subscribed after 12 months your membership will automatically renew for another year here you will have the ability to cancel your membership.

If payment fails for whatever reason, AIMA will contact you for resolution. You will then have 14 days to make the payment. You are responsible for any consequent fees payable by your financial institution. Your membership will not be confirmed until your membership dues are processed.

Event and Educational offerings

General terms and methods of payment
All website orders must be paid by Visa or MasterCard. The cost of recovering any default of payments will be borne by the customer. The goods remain the property of AIMA until full payment is received.

The currency which prices are quoted in will be clearly marked.  If it isn’t then the assumption is that it is in Australian Dollars.

All prices are correct at the time of online publication. Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to rectify prices quoted in the invoice, if found to be incorrect.

 Pricing
All course prices and scheduled dates are subject to change without notification; however every attempt will be made to give reasonable notice of any cancellations or changes.

Conditions of course enrolment
A notification of your course enrolment will be emailed to you with an information pack. This information will include:

  • course details, including location and venue details or log in details
  • tax invoice

Your commencement in the course you have enrolled in is dependent upon:

  • sufficient enrolments in the course
  • course pre-requisite/s being met
  • availability of places in the course
  • arriving at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to course commencement. Anyone more than 15 minutes late may not be accepted into the course.

Transactions on the site

The Site may offer you the ability to enter into transactions, such as for transactions relating to a AIMA product or service (transactions). A transaction will not be complete unless and until:

  • you have issued AIMA with an electronic instruction accepting AIMA’s offer or confirming payment by you (whichever is applicable) (acceptance);
  • such acceptance has been received and processed by AIMA; and
  • you have complied with all applicable terms and conditions notified.

You acknowledge the AIMA may not receive your acceptance for reasons beyond either party’s reasonable control, including but not limited to, mechanical, software, computer, telecommunications, or electronic failure, or the omission or failure of third-party service providers or systems.

To the extent permitted by law, AIMA is not liable to you in any way for any loss or damage at all and however caused, arising directly or indirectly in connection with the transmission or attempted transmission of an acceptance through the Site, or any failure to receive an acceptance for whatever reason.

Purchasing products or services

Your interaction with the site

Some parts of the Site may permit you to provide to AIMA or post, upload, input or submit materials to AIMA through the Site or associated services (Materials). You may not post Materials to this Site containing a virus or other harmful components. Nor may you use language or engage in any activity that is threatening, abusive, vulgar, or which may be interpreted as vilification of others on the grounds of race, or which is discourteous or unlawful. AIMA reserves the right to bar from use persons who contravene this rule and to remove or edit messages or material submitted by users.

You are responsible for the Materials you post to the Site and you indemnify us against loss of any nature arising from the infringement of third-party intellectual property rights by reason of your unauthorised reproduction of works on the Site. You must not post Materials on the Site unless you are the owner of the copyright or have the express permission of the copyright owner to post them. By posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting Materials you warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control all of the rights in and to the Materials including, without limitation, the rights necessary to post, upload, input or submit the Materials and You implicitly authorise others to make unauthorised use of the Materials posted by you on the Site.

Communications by other users

AIMA does not represent, warrant or guarantee the validity, accuracy, or reliability of any communications posted by other users or endorse any opinions expressed by users. You acknowledge that your reliance on Material posted on the site will be at your own risk.

Materials provided to AIMA

AIMA does not claim ownership of any Materials.

Subject to our privacy policy, you permit AIMA, its affiliates and licensees to use any Materials in connection with the operation of its business, including without limitation the right to copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat the Materials, and to identify the Materials by your name.

No compensation will be paid in relation to AIMA’s receipt or use of the Materials.

Access to the site

AIMA will not be liable if the Site is unavailable for any reason. AIMA may, at its discretion, suspend or disconnect your access to all or part of the Site during technical failure, for maintenance, if you fail to comply with these Terms of Use or if you do anything that AIMA considers may jeopardise the Site.

Restrictions

In addition to the restriction set out above, you agree that you (and any party connected with you) will not:

  • Use the Site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use;
  • Use the Site for any purpose which could damage, disable, overburden or impair the Site or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Site;
  • Copy, reproduce, alter, modify, create derivative works, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, edit, translate or reformat any of the Information without AIMA’s prior written consent;
  • Use any robot, spider, screen scraper, data aggregation tool or other automatic process to monitor, copy or extract any Information, or combine any Information with the information of a third party, without AIMA’s prior written consent; or
  • Reverse engineer, reverse assemble, decompile or otherwise attempt to discover source code or other formulae or processes in respect of the Site.

Is not obliged to update the Information or correct any inaccuracy which may become known to AIMA;

  • Excludes, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties (whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, and specifically any implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for purpose, title and non-infringement) in relation to the Information, the Site or any material on External Sites accessed via the Site or which link or refer to the Site; and
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, is not liable to you for any expenses, losses, costs (including but not limited to legal costs), damages or liabilities (whether direct, indirect or consequential) that arise out of or are referrable to the Information, Site, External Sites, the supply of any product or service from the Site, or your access to any part of the Site, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise. Governing law

The information on the Site is provided for Australian residents only and reflects Australian conditions and laws, and may not be applicable to other countries. These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. By accessing and using the Site, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Victoria, Australia.
